Being a Board Certified Family Physician means that I specialize in you! I am trained to give medical care from conception to old age. During my training in the United States Navy, I provided prenatal care and delivered many babies. Currently I practice in Danville,Virginia at Providence Family and Sports Medicine.
I was born in Sacramento, California. I received my BS in Biology from Whitworth College in Spokane, Washington. My Medical Degree and Masters in Public Health are from Tufts University School of Medicine in Boston, Massachusetts. My residency in Family Medicine was completed at the Bremerton Naval Hospital in Bremerton, Washington. After completing my obligations to the Navy I settled in Danville.
My understanding of pregnancy goes beyond that of a clinician. I have been through 5 pregnancies of my own, one of which ended in miscarriage. I have 4 children, all of whom were born naturally and were breastfed. I would be happy to talk with you about any concerns you may have about your decisions during your pregnancy.
